About Me

/ Professional Identity

I love to learn new things because it makes me feel alive, and more specifically, I love the dynamic relationship between learning and applying. Design gives me a space where those two states constantly feed each other.

Who am I as a designer

I am an industrial designer focused on product design, with a growing expertise in connecting technical realization, aesthetics, and user-centered thinking. I thrive in complex, multidisciplinary environments and excel at effective communication within diverse teams. I’m comfortable stepping into leadership roles to drive clarity, momentum, and decision-making—especially when navigating ambiguity.

My long-term goal is to bridge disciplines in complex physical product development, acting as a translator between vision and feasibility. I see design not as isolated creativity but as orchestration—of people, tools, constraints, and potential.

My design approach

I approach design as a structured yet evolving process. I create with the end user in mind, integrating both qualitative and quantitative data to uncover actionable insights. I’ve come to appreciate that while user involvement is essential, it's also about timing: innovation often requires designers to lead with intention, proposing and refining options rather than co-creating from scratch. I work comfortably with a well-managed list of assumptions—treating them as hypotheses to validate or evolve, not as shortcuts, but as strategy.

I tend to explore broadly and sometimes spend too much time refining elements that, in the end, don’t prove essential. That said, I’ve learned to be critical of my own ideas and kill my darlings when the time is right. Over the years, I’ve also recognized a tendency to overcomplicate things—driven by curiosity and ambition—when a simpler approach might have more impact. This awareness has become a key focus of my personal growth: to better balance depth with clarity, and innovation with simplicity. I also find it challenging at times to fully trust others to deliver at the standard I aim for, and delegation is something I continue to improve by learning to align expectations.

I am fluent across a broad technology stack, from CAD and physical prototyping to simulation environments like Unity and Unreal. I use sketching—both analog and digital—not just to communicate but to think. Combined with my aesthetic sensitivity and hands-on making skills, I create concepts that are both expressive and realizable.

My experience

I’ve designed products and experiences from end to end: from custom high-fidelity speakers to VR-based drone simulations. Freelance and startup work (Gatenox, SatusGames) has sharpened my adaptability and speed—working within constraints of time, budget, and team scope. My internship-turned-position at a speaker design company has deepened my understanding of product development, manufacturing, and the business realities that shape design.

Beyond designing, I’ve also contributed to the learning of others. My professors recognized my work ethic and clarity of thought by inviting me to support courses as a teaching assistant in Human-Centered Design and Design Sketching. These experiences showed me that articulating design thinking is as important as practicing it.

About me outside of design

I am a squash player with many national and international achivments aiming for the worlds top 100. This pursuit has taught me discipline, adaptability, and the importance of staying present under pressure—qualities I bring into every design challenge.
