GOART

Design of a physical-digital hybrid educational game.

Unleashing artistic potential can be challenging, as drawing skills are notoriously difficult to cultivate. During research, our design team recognized a recurring pattern among individuals who expressed a desire to learn how to draw: the lack of consistency and communal support.

Drawing from research into the problem and inspiration from gamification principles, we have crafted GOART in an iterative approach based on weekly design sprints. The focus was put on utilizing many divergent idea-generation processes, techniques, and methodologies.

The result was a game concept that seamlessly integrated digital and physical elements empowering individuals to transcend their perceived limitations. Through our low-fidelity prototyping and basic-level user tests we can conclude that GOART shows the possibility to transform people's approach to drawing.

I was responsible for: - Brand identity design - Promotional video creative direction, shooting, and editing - Interactive mock Webshop interface - Packaging Design - Organizing workshops - Gathering feedback from game design experts - Storyboarding

The main takeaway from the project was the value of workshops, conducting design sprints, and involving the entire team in idea-generation processes. Through the use of different creative techniques and methodologies, our team was able to generate over 100 separate ideas in a single week.
